Taking Flight

Missionaries Bryan and Melissa Abbott are planning on moving to another island in the Asia-Pacific region to begin their ministry.

They arrived last year and began studying the culture and language and have just four weeks of study to complete before preparing to move. The islands are 1200 miles apart so all their goods must be shipped by sea container. The Abbotts will travel to the island by air where Bryan will serve in the local flight program.

The couple and their two small children will return to the USA for a short time so Bryan can complete special helicopter mechamic training needed service the Jet Ranger helicopter.

Missionary Yuspiter Yambung, from the Wana tribe, will accompany Bryan to the USA so he too can attend Helicopter maintenance school. He received his license earlier while training in the USA and also completed training at NTM Aviation in Arizona.

Pray for Bryan and Yuspiter as they take one more step toward their ministry in the flight program.
