A dream fulfilled

Brian Pruett remembers the flight that hooked him on wanting to be at the controls of an airplane some day. This week his dream was fulfilled as he had his first solo flight as a missionary pilot.

As a young boy of about 3, he couldn’t contain his excitement and yelled out, "Whee!" as the plane rolled down the grass airstrip in the Philippines.

"My parents still laugh about that flight," Brian wrote.

On Monday, just three minutes after takeoff he flew over that same grass airstrip, this time he was sitting in the pilot’s seat on a medical mission.

Upon reporting his position to his wife who was monitoring the radio, he thought, "Never has a routine position report been so beautiful."

"It was so cool to be working as a team to get this missionary couple out of the tribe so they could get some medical care."

Please pray for Brian and his wife, Bailey, as they serve the missionary efforts of those who are planting churches in remote areas.
