Another one Flies Away!

Kodiak #2 departing from NTM Aviation Hangar in McNeal

Glowing from the rising sun, the second Kodiak bound for Papua New Guinea departed January 11 for Wichita, Kansas, piloted by International Chief Pilot Daren Spence and accompanied by maintenance specialist Ace Glidewell.

It seems like the beginning of a long journey, but really it's just a stepping stone in our walk of faith. There have been many that have gone before us and more who will follow till this job is done.

No doubt, you were a part of it in some way as the saga unfolded: Godly entrepreneurs designing the Kodiak and trusting God for money to produce it. Enthusiastic third-graders giving sacrificially and spurring others to give.   Mission-minded investors determining to keep production going no matter what. Generous and faithful partners sharing their resources, whether large or small. People believing God and showing it by unceasing prayer.

Now Kodiak #2 is almost ready to fly to Papua New Guinea. It passed its inspection in Wichita and received its Export Certificate of Airworthiness. Specialists are now installing large fuel tanks in the plane's cabin, readying it for the trans-Pacific flight.

Missionaries in PNG anticipate Kodiak #2's arrival, sometime around the fourth week of January depending on weather over the Pacific. It will join Kodiak #1 which has already hauled hundreds of pounds of cargo and transported missionaries working to bring the Gospel to isolated villages.

Thank you for your participation in the Kodiak story! You are playing a vital part in reaching the lost for Christ as you help provide efficient transportation for missionaries in rugged and virtually unreachable areas of Papua New Guinea. Thank you!
