Encouragers are encouraged

Missionary pilot Dwight Brown flew missionaries Dan and Judy Burke flew into a Chimane tribal location in Bolivia to encourage and build up the believers, but instead Dan and Judy's spirits were lifted by their friends.

Dan and Judy worked among the Chimane for many years and are now ministering in Mexico. They returned to hold a Bible conference for Chimane believers. Thirty-nine men and 15 women attended from 16 different communities. Some traveled for two days to attend the conference.

With the rice harvest in full swing, it was difficult for the Chimanes to leave their work and attend the Bible conference but many came to hear God's Word in their language.

Dan wrote concerning five believers who shared at the conference, "It was encouraging to see these men express how they were brought back to the Lord through the reading of Scripture or hearing a radio program."

One of the Chimane Bible teachers, Adrian, told Dan and Judy that he had considered giving up his ministry when his wife died from tuberculosis but he could not give up the calling that is upon him. The couple was encouraged by the dedication of their Chimane friend.

Dan and Judy spent several days in the village before Dwight came to fly them out.

Pray for Dwight and his wife, Diana, as they minister to missionaries and tribal people through the flight program. Praise God for the success of the Chimane Bible conference and that Dan and Judy were encouraged by the faithfulness and dedication of the people.
