Injured pilot and wife encouraged

Jon and Adie Leedahl and their family were reunited Thursday.

Jon and Adie Leedahl, serving with NTM Aviation, are experiencing God’s grace and strength following a serious vehicle accident in Papua New Guinea.

After the accident on Oct. 15, Jon was stabilized and flown to Australia, where doctors were able to save his life. However, he lost his leg.

Jon and Adie are very encouraged by all those who have praying, sharing Scripture, sending messages, and giving financial support. It was a beautiful scene in Jon’s hospital room Ias the Leedahl family was reunited with many hugs, kisses and questions.

While no one would have ever chosen this path for them, our good and loving Father God is with them and goes before them to keep and guide them through this time. While we might see loss, setbacks and discouragement, Adie has challenged us all with her faith that God has a big plan for their family.

“Shout for joy, you heavens;
    rejoice, you earth;
    burst into song, you mountains!
For the Lord comforts his people
    and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.” – Isaiah 49.13  (NIV)

Prayer requests:

  • Please continue to pray for Jon’s healing, upcoming surgeries on both legs, and the beginning stages of physical therapy.
  • Pray for Jon, Adie, Jaeden, Levi, and Jace and for all the dynamics in working out what family life will look like for now.
  • Praise God for the medical team in the Cairns Hospital and for the friends and family who are helping them with the physical and emotional hurdles they are facing at this time.
