Helicopter Program for Brazil

The Cessna 206 serving in Brazil can only serve two locations out of 10 language groups being reached. The teams that do begin ministry in Brazil are often unable to sustain vital long-term ministry because of a seriously insufficient support network of transportation, communication, supply and accountability. Those that are able to sustain the long-term ministry despite the isolation and hardship make dishearteningly slow progress in planting a thriving church.

The goal of the project is to purchase a Robinson R66 helicopter and set up a helicopter program to meet the needs of the NTM Brazil missionary teams. Since the helicopter needs only a small clearing to land, it eliminates the expensive and often impossible task of getting permission for an airstrip, as well as the expense of building and maintaining the airstrip.

How you'll be helping

Your gift toward the purchase of the helicopter will enable Ethnos360 Aviation to serve all missionaries and to open the door to additional expansion currently hindered by extreme isolation. The helicopter would furnish a refreshingly viable network to sustain ministry teams by providing transportation to their ministry locations. The helicopter will also do the following:

  • Facilitate encouraging communication to and from the ministry location
  • Deliver much-needed supplies
  • Furnish medevac services, giving peace of mind to teams far from medical help
  • Facilitate essential visits by leaders of the mission, consultants, supporting church leaders and members, and potential new teammates

As teams thrive, the enthusiasm and momentum for completing work and beginning new works would increase in the regions of Brazil still needing to be reached.
