Disaster Relief Coordinator Job Description

Job Purpose:

To supervise and coordinate Ethnos360 Aviation’s disaster relief efforts in directing supplies and personnel to appropriate locations


  • Must be flexible to be able to respond to disaster when necessary
  • Be willing to work long periods of time in the event of a disaster
  • Have excellent organizational abilities
  • Good communicator in reporting daily activities during the relief effort
  • Good public relational skills
  • Team player, assertive, respectful
  • Must be strong, positive leader who approaches their position from a servant leadership perspective as a source of encouragement, inspiration and support for volunteers

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must have flexible schedule to be able to respond quickly to disaster situations
  • Mobilize volunteers and collect resource information.
  • Serve as a facilitator and supervisor of volunteers.
  • Keep current daily records on volunteers and activities
  • Make sure the financial records are being tracked and in order
  • Work in close relationship with the hub coordinator (such as local Red Cross, or other organization that Ethnos360 Aviation would be working in conjunction with) to plan, coordinate and supervise the Ethnos360 Aviation activities of disaster relief efforts
  • Track and coordinate emergency supplies, resources, volunteers and available shelter areas
