From Port to Port

Brian Pruett (International Rotor-Wing Chief Pilot) reassembles an R66 in the Philippines in 2017

The first R66 helicopter for Papua New Guinea has arrived in the port of Lae, PNG.

You prayed it across the 7,277 miles on a cargo ship. Despite estimates of six to eight months for the journey, it arrived in just under three months. Surely God’s hand was on it.

So, let’s praise God over and over for His amazing favor in getting the R66 to PNG so quickly and safely.

And then keep on praying. There’s a reason that God told us to pray always: It’s because we always need prayer! Petition God with us:

Ask God for the customs process to go smoothly.

  • Pray that we will get the exemption from the customs tax, as Ethnos360 Aviation is a non-profit.
  • Ask God for safety and protection as the R66, still in its shipping container, is trucked from Lae to the Ethnos360 Aviation hangar in Goroka.
  • Pray for care and precision as the team unpacks and reassembles the helicopter.
  • Pray for all the paperwork involved, as this is the first R66 ever in Papua New Guinea.

Thank you for making the R66 your prayer project. Church planting teams are depending on helicopter service – like the team among the Maliyali people, gearing up to teach the gospel this very year.
