As the funds continue to come in, additional contributions will go towards the many PNG flight program ongoing needs such as fuel and maintenance. The challenge before us is constant and needs regularly arise in maintaining a flight program that is the lifeline to 43 different church planting works across PNG. For example, a recent event that surprised our pilots in PNG, was an R66 helicopter engine that developed a major oil leak. The failure requires the engine to be sent to Rolls-Royce in Australia for repair. We shipped our spare engine from Arizona by FedEx to get the helicopter back in the air serving the church planting missionaries. The spare engine has been installed, and the failed engine will be shipped out for repair. We have no idea what total shipping and cost to repair will come to, but that is a glimpse into some of the major ongoing needs of our PNG flight program.
