I See the Light

Chief helicopter pilot Brian Pruett smoothly landed the helicopter as the watching crowd waved cell phones and flashlights and the kids twirled glow sticks.

After years of prayer and the gracious gifts of many people, God has provided R66 #2 for Papua New Guinea (PNG). It arrived just last night at the Ethnos360 Aviation center in McNeal, AZ. In short order, it will be taken apart, painted with our highly visible and recognizable red and white paint scheme, reassembled and outfitted for service in PNG.

How appropriate that Brian Pruett had the honor of flying this R66 from the Robinson factory in California to the Ethnos360 Aviation hangar. Only a month ago, he was in PNG seeing firsthand the work that R66 #1 is doing to support and sustain church planting ministries. He and pilot Josh Verdonck slingloaded 15,400 pounds of supplies into the Kuyu village where three missionary families will shortly be moving in. The Kuyu will finally get an answer to their years’-long plea for teaching and, by God’s grace, will “see the light.”

Multiply the Kuyu outreach by the 14 other church planting teams supported solely by helicopter. That’s a lot of work for one helicopter. Now, with R66 #2 being readied for service in PNG, more groups like the Kuyu will finally have their pleas answered.

Praise to God for this amazing provision! Join with us in praying that many people groups will “see the glorious light” of the gospel as this R66 serves for years to come.

Thank you for your part in this project!

P.S. Funds continue to come in for R66 #3 for PNG! Thank you! Watch the updated video below to see how three R66 helicopters will sustain and support the work of church planting missionaries.
